Our Name
Artemis
The name Artemis illustrates our mission. Artemis is the ancient Greek goddess of the moon and the hunt. While the moon in a metaphor for the menstrual cycle, the archer reminds us of the importance of focus (attention) and aim (intention) when it comes to our health. She represents feminine strength, confidence, and independence. She placed great value on her freedom – freedom to ask questions, seek solutions, and confidently pursue her own path to complete wellness.

About Us
Serving Western New York Since 2000
Artemis Advanced Office Gynecology is a small, personalized practice that has offered integrative, all-inclusive gynecology services for the last 23 years. Serving patients in and around Lockport, New York, Julie Madejski, MD, and her compassionate team provide the latest advances and least-invasive options in the prevention and treatment of gynecologic problems, ranging from abnormal uterine bleeding to painful intercourse. The caring, inclusive team welcomes adolescents, women of all ages, and LGBTQ individuals.
Artemis Advanced Office Gynecology shifts the focus away from disease management to concentrate instead on health and healing. This broader approach emphasizes prevention, education, and empowerment. Artemis Advanced Office Gynecology believes that common gynecologic conditions can result from hormonal and metabolic imbalances. Because of this, they address lifestyle practices and toxins that may lead to a state of imbalance, while also providing appropriate medical or surgical care. The office is the only one in the Buffalo area to offer accredited anesthesia services onsite.
Dr. Madejski, who leads the team at Artemis Advanced Office Gynecology, graduated summa cum laude from the honors program at the State University of New York at Buffalo, then earned a medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Madejski returned to New York to complete four years of internship and residency training at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was accepted as a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000.
Dr. Madejski serves on the medical staff of Kaleida Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville and Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. She is also an instructor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
When she’s not attending to patients, Dr. Madejski enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and making music.
